✓ DO

✓ Shave the treatment area 24 hours before your appointment.

✓ Arrive 5 minutes before your appointment to allow time to get changed and ready for your treatment.

✓ Inform your Laser Practitioner of any changes to your medication, including those bought from a chemist or herbalist. A medical history is taken at consultation, but we rely on you to tell us about any changes.

✓ Take photos throughout your Laser Hair Removal journey to track the progress of your treatments.

✓ Hydrate the body by drinking plenty of water on the day of your treatment.

✓ Let the Practitioner know if you have questions or need assistance before, during, or after the treatment.

✗ Don't

✗ Wax, thread, pluck, or use hair removal or bleach creams for four weeks before treatment and throughout your Laser Hair Removal journey.

✗ Use sunbeds, fake tan or nasal tanners, or expose the area to prolonged sunlight for four weeks prior to treatment.Sun and fake tan must be left to fade completely before treatment can start.

✗ Use acid-based products such as retinol, salicylic, glycolic or hyaluronic acids for two weeks prior to treatment.

✗ Apply any products to the treatment area — make-up, perfume, deodorant, body or face cream.

✗ Take antihistamines, aspirin or ibuprofen for 24 hours prior to treatment.

✗ Wear tight-fitted or dark clothing to your appointment. Loose, light fabrics are best.

BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT

AFTER YOUR TREATMENT

✓ DO

✓ Use a light, soothing serum such as 100% pure aloe vera gel to reduce irritation.

✓ Use a sunscreen (SPF 50+) and protect the treatment area from sunlight as much as possible between treatments.

✓ Exfoliate 7 to 10 days after your treatment to achieve optimal results.

✓ Wait 24 hours after treatment before showering or bathing. After that, use cool or lukewarm water.

✗ Don't

✗ Scratch the area after treatment. Redness, heat bumps and slight itchiness are normal. An antihistamine or allergy tablet will help these symptoms subside within a few hours.

✗ Apply any products to the skin for 24 hours after treatment — cream, make-up, deodorant or perfume.

✗ Expose the area to excessive heat for 48 hours: gym, swimming, sauna, steam rooms, hot baths or showers, or cooking with steam.

✗ Shave between treatments — the hair needs to shed naturally.
